The Bluff Point Ferry between Merton St and Lawrence and Woodford Dale Rds remains closed in both directions during the NSW Police operation.

Drivers are being encouraged to seek an alternative route by using Big River Way and Lawrence Rd to cross the Clarence River through Grafton.

Transport NSW warned motorists should also allow extra travel time.

Local buses are also running between Lawrence and Grafton instead of between Lawrence and Maclean while the ferry is not running.
