New claim gangland mum Lametta Fadlallah’s death was worth $500,000 after Sydney shooting

The people responsible for the death of gangland mum Lametta Fadlallah would have been paid more than half a million dollars, sources have claimed.

The brutal murder of gangland mum Lametta Fadlallah would have been netted her killers at least half a million dollars, underworld and official sources have claimed to the Daily Telegraph.

Lametta Fadlallah and her hairdresser friend Amy Hazouri were gunned down inside a car in Panania in Sydney’s south west last Saturday night.

Fadlallah, 48 — a mother with reported links to organised crime — and Hazouri, 39, were both killed shortly before 9pm when a hail of bullets struck their car, parked outside Ms Fadallah’s house.

Ms Fadlallah was pronounced dead at the scene of the attack. Ms Hazouri died later after being rushed to Liverpool Hospital.

The attack was, according to sources who spoke to Daily Telegraph, connected to Ms Fadallah being forced into speaking with authorities to protect a loved one, and likely a paid job carried out by four people.

“$100,000 for each person, and then you’re talking $25,000 per gun, and then the cars,” one source told the publication.

Another said the chilling moments before Ms Fadlallah’s death showed the intention of her killers.

“It was pretty graphic to tap the window and then to look them in the eyes … and that poor girl (in the front seat), she will never recover,” the source said.

“That is why (it’s because) she was a snitch.”

The killers reportedly tapped on the window before shoving a 16-year-old girl’s head out the way and opening fire.

The teenager had never met Ms Fadlallah and was simply at the house with her friend, a 20-year-old male driver, to pick up Ms Hazouri, who herself is believed to be an innocent victim of the shooting.

A relative of the young girl has previously said she is so traumatised she cannot return to school and is now undergoing “intensive therapy”. She has reportedly been unable to eat and “hasn’t stopped crying, and can’t sleep”.

In the aftermath of the attack, NSW Police said the deaths could lead to retaliation “not like we’ve ever seen in Sydney before”.

“I think this just demonstrated how low they‘ve got where any person that may be associated with someone who they want to target … they don’t discriminate, whether you’re male or female,” said Det Sup Doherty.

“The rule books have been thrown out the window.”

While investigations are ongoing, authorities are reportedly pursuing whether an ill-fated historical relationship contributed to the alleged murder of Ms Fadlallah.

Police have confirmed Ms Fadlallah had “past relationships with other known identities”. Publicly, she was previously married to murdered drug dealer and standover man, Helal Safi and former gangster Shadi Derbas.

Prior to their death, Ms Fadlallah and Ms Hazouri were on their way to an engagement party being held at Massaya – a Lebanese restaurant in Strathfield South that’s owned by the sons of her boyfriend, Adel Dayoub.

Police do not believe there is any connection between Ms Fadlallah’s death and the Dayoub family, and they have no links to organised crime.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the restaurant’s owner, Dayoub Jr., said the family were shocked by the events of that night.

He said his father had been dating Ms Fadlallah for around 12 months and is assisting police with their investigation.

“We don’t know anything, we were just getting to know her over the last year,” Mr Dayoub Jr. said.

“She was very nice. My dad is in shock. He is not all right, he’s grieving.”
