Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s split turns messy amid cheating allegations
A woman accused of being at the centre of Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s break-up has spoken out over viral cheating claims.
Things have turned very messy in the aftermath of Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announcing their shock break-up.
The former couple, who met on the 2019 series of Love Island UK and got engaged in 2023, issued separate statements declaring their five-year relationship had “come to an end” on Wednesday.
As a result, fans of the pair – who welcomed their daughter Bambi early last year – went into overdrive trying to decipher the cause of their sudden split.
Many speculated Fury, 25, had cheated, a rumour which has plighted Hague since a video showing the professional boxer partying with singer Chris Brown in a nightclub in Dubai went viral last year.
Hague was back home in England taking care of their young daughter at the time.
Fury has denied the allegations in a statement shared to The Mirror which stated the dad was “distraught” at the claims.
“Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers,” a statement shared by a spokesperson for the boxer said.
Fans have continued to share elaborate theories claiming Hague, 25, had uncovered Fury had gotten another woman pregnant, with some alleging influencer Lissie Rhodes had just welcomed his secret love child.
Rhodes, who announced the arrival of her son Shakur five days ago, became the subject of unfounded speculation Fury fathered her child after she was identified as one of the women in the Dubai nightclub video.
However the new mum has denied the claims she’s the “other woman”, stating her partner Barry Awad is her baby’s father.
“Tommy fury is not my baby’s dad...” she shared on TikTok, The Mirror reported.
Rhodes’ dad Ryan, who is a boxing pal of Tommy’s dad John Fury, also slammed the cruel internet rumours, The Sun added.
“I can’t believe what I’m reading. I can’t believe it. The speculation, the hearsay, guys Lissie and Barry and Shakur are so happy, so happy,” he said on Instagram Stories.
“We’ve got a life, you need to get one.”
It wasn’t the only rumour about Fury’s alleged infidelity that has gained air-time, with a friend of Hague’s reportedly telling The Sun she had been told her fiance had “cheated on her with a Danish woman he’d met while he was away in Macedonia”.
“She didn’t want to believe it was true,” the unidentified friend claimed.
“When she confronted him and asked if he had cheated on her, Tommy didn’t deny it.
“It told Molly-Mae all she needed to know, and she ended it. He’s moved out of the house and she’s absolutely reeling from it all.”
Neither Fury or Hague have commented on the cheating claims.
Fans were left “distraught” after the mum-of-one shared an unexpected update on their relationship revealing the pair had parted ways.
“Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this,” Hague wrote on Wednesday.
“After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.”
“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter,” she wrote.
“Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.
“You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.”
Shortly after, Fury released his own statement, confirming the break-up.
“I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship,” he shared.
“The past five years have led us to having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi, and I will forever be thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.”
The news has left the UK in shock, with many fans taking to social media to declare “love is dead”, and add they were “distraught”.
“Every girl in the UK right now is devastated,” one wrote on TikTok.
“Genuinely can’t go to work today after this catastrophe,” another shared.
As one stated: “I’m literally so shocked. This was not on my 2024 bingo card.”
“Oh my God this can’t be real. NO,” lamented another.
The UK is reportedly taking the break-up so badly, one columnist described the split to Charles and Diana’s break-up.
