Roxy Jacenko dumps on new poo jogger theory, as identity of dawn dumper remains a mystery

The identity of Sydney’s poo jogger, who defecated outside the office of publicist Roxy Jacenko, remains a mystery. But one idea has been flushed.

Despite days of intense media coverage and vision of the dirty deed going viral, the Sydney poo jogger who chose Roxy Jacenko’s office as her dumping ground remains elusive.

And the high-profile celebrity publicist has put the lid down on a wild new theory about the identity of the mysterious dawn defecator.

On Monday, Jacenko posted three video clips to her Instagram showing the woman relieving herself on the street between two parked cars on two separate occasions over the past week.

However, she told news.com.au that human faeces had been found on numerous occasions since mid-September.

Fed up, Jacenko reviewed vision from her CCTV cameras and exposed the pooper in a bid to make her stop.

While the story has gone global and Jacenko has made a number of media appearances to flush out the activewear-clad crapper, the trail has gone cold.

New South Wales Police say their investigation is ongoing. It doesn’t appear there are many firm (or soft) leads.

“Nothing as yet,” Jacenko told news.com.au today regarding progress on the hunt.

But in some good news for and her neighbours — including Paddington Primary School and Wolf cafe — the woman seems to have jogged on.

“No sh*ts this morning,” Jacenko confirmed. “But I did have my security patrols increased.”

There have been several theories about who was depicted in the video, which is why Jacenko eventually removed the original clips.

Mistakenly or maliciously, some commenters were naming women who clearly didn’t fit the bill. And the suggestion that it was radio star and Masked Singer judge Jackie O has also been shot down after she offered an alibi on The Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning.

Social media troublemakers are now trying to spread the idea that it was Jacenko herself who donned a disguise and staged the indecent act in a bid for publicity.

She has staunchly denied the claim that the past few days has been one big, steaming stunt.

“I mean, if that’s the case I really am the PR Queen,” Jacenko laughed.

Jacenko doesn’t believe the woman was deliberately targeting her, although the Sweaty Betty office has been the subject of attacks by vandals in the past.

“No I definitely don’t. This isn’t targeted, this is a person who’s getting a thrill. Some people have sex on the beach, some people sh*t in the street,” she said.

“This is something people get off on. I get thrills having a vodka and a wedge of lime, others do this.”

Whatever comes of the police investigation, as well as the efforts of social media sleuths, Jacenko will be satisfied if the poos don’t return.

“I’m adjacent to a primary school where the kids come out, they play in the park, they run up and down with their scooters,” she said.

“We’re in a residential, tree-lined street, why should we have to walk through sh*t to get to work or school? It’s not right. If the Instagram post is enough to make her stop and find her thrills by doing it in her own place of residence or work I’m a happy person.”

The poo jogger struck multiple times, usually between 6am and 6.30am, Roxy Jacenko said.

Perhaps the poo jogger will never be unmasked, given the woman behind a similar series of incidents in Pyrmont in Sydney last year has alluded identification.

In July 2018, a blonde woman was caught on security camera defecating outside a bottle-o in the inner-city suburb.

“Rumour has it there are other locations around Pyrmont suffering from the same situation,” Porters Liquor owner Jim Schwilk told news.com.au at the time.

That culprit was also an early morning jogger. Could it be the same person? One can only wildly speculate.

“Most people will find it somewhat amusing, while other people will be deeply offended by it,” Mr Schwilk said.

That stinky situation came just a few months after a man in Brisbane was sensationally exposed as being responsible for pooing on a private path at a unit block on at least 30 occasions over the space of a year.

Furious residents set-up a sting operation to catch the 54-year-old corporate executive brown-handed, with the resulting story also going global.

“One of the neighbours set-up a night camera and got a few images and so we had a time he was doing it, so then I decided to go and wait with a camera in the and I was there a few mornings and then last Friday I got him,” neighbour Steve, who took the photo, told news.com.au at the time.

“There’s a red light which goes on before the camera’s flash goes off and he saw that and looked at me as the photograph was taken. Then he just said, ‘Hello’. At that point I decided to just walk away.”
