Jackie O forced to defend herself over poo jogger rumour

The radio star has been forced to address rumours that she is the mystery jogger who has been defecating near Roxy Jacenko’s office.

Jackie O wants everyone to know that she is not the poo jogger who has been defecating outside Roxy Jacenko’s office.

The KIIS FM star was forced to defend herself on radio this morning after Jacenko failed to definitively rule her out as a culprit during an interview on The Project last night.

“Roxy posted online this video (the CCTV footage of the poo jogger) and she was asking people, ‘Do you know who this is?’” Jackie O explained on air this morning about how she first became linked to the crappy story.

“A lot of people who listen to this show, as a joke, wrote in the comments section, ‘Oh I bet it’s Jackie O haha,’ because obviously we know I have told a story on air that I once had an accident in Rose Bay.”

The “accident” Jackie O referred to happened back in 2015 and was described in detail on KIIS FM by the radio star at the time.

“Anyway, so Roxy then said on our show yesterday, as a joke, she said: ‘I had to delete the video because everyone was saying it was Jackie O,’” the radio host said this morning. “Then all the articles came out yesterday where somehow I was the poo jogger.”

The Daily Mai l published a story yesterday with the headline: “Revealed: The bizarre rumour Jackie O is Roxy Jacenko’s mystery poo jogger”, and even Channel 7 news ran with: “Roxy Jacenko deletes poo jogger video after claims Jackie O was behind the act”.

Jackie O was horrified to discover she had been linked to the poo jogger story, as was her mum who saw some of the media coverage.

“My mum even called me yesterday and asked, ‘What’s going on? Am I the poo jogger?’” Jackie O revealed on air. “My own mother! She thought someone was starting a smear campaign against me.”

Kyle and Jackie O host the number one FM breakfast show in Sydney.

When Jackie O saw some of the news articles, she texted Jacenko and was “kinda hoping maybe she would put it to bed and say to everyone, ‘Listen, it’s not Jackie O!’”

But that’s not what happened when Jacenko appeared on The Project last night.

Speaking on the Channel 10 program about why she decided to delete the CCTV videos of the poo jogger from her Instagram account, Jacenko explained: “I also don’t want to put the person in the position where people are throwing around names on social media, one of them was Jackie O.”

A surprised Waleed Aly said to Jacenko, “Can we just clarify you’re not saying it’s Jackie O, because you kind of went out of your way to say that was one of the names being mentioned on social media there.”

But again, the PR Queen failed to rule the radio star out as a culprit.

“One of them was Jackie O,” Jacenko said on The Project. “I was like, my goodness, this is terrible!”

Jacenko then told The Project’s Carrie Bickmore, “It’s lucky you don’t live in Sydney being a blonde and thin and nimble, it could have been you as well!”

This morning Kyle Sandilands played the audio of Jacenko’s interview on The Project to Jackie O, and she was less than impressed.

“Roxy, what are you doing to me?!” Jackie O said on air. “Can I confirm it myself then? I am NOT the poo jogger, OK, it’s not me!”

As Kyle and Jackie O were discussing the brouhaha on radio this morning, Jackie O received a text from Jacenko which she read out on air.

“She said, ‘Don’t worry, I know you’re not the poopinator!’” Jackie O revealed.

Kyle laughed and said to Jacenko who was listening at home, “Why don’t you say it on television, for god’s sake!”
