Mums are using Kmart’s $29 soft play triangle for an X-rated reason

An Aussie mum who realised a children’s toy from the budget retailer was strikingly similar to a $200 adult item she wanted has gone viral.

A frugal mum has revealed the frisky way she uses a $29 Kmart children’s toy after noticing its striking similarity to an X-rated bedroom accessory.

The clever mum stumbled across the budget superstore’s “Soft Play Triangle” and noticed it looked just like the $190 sex position wedge she’d been in the market for,Kidspot reports.

After purchasing the kid’s toy, she shared her discovering in the Mums on A Budget Facebook page, writing: “Kmart always comes out with the goods.”

She noted the bargain discovery saved “over $100” and shared a picture of the product, which is designed for crawling, climbing, sliding and imaginative play for kids aged three-eight, alongside the adult item

The main difference between the two is the colour schemes, with Kmart choosing red, blue and yellow while the more expensive Liberator Microfibre Sex Position Wedge is a deep purple.

However, the dimensions are similar, with the Kmart object measuring in at 61 cm x 21 cm x 41 cm alongside the $190 adult wedge, sold on Lovehoney, which is 61 cm x 18 cm x 36 cm.

The adult product is designed to allow for a wider range of motion and to make certain sex positions more accessible.

So it’s little wonder why mums went absolutely wild for the dupe, which sees a staggering saving of $161.

“I’m never going to be able to look at that triangle the same way ever again,” one user admitted.

Another quipped, “That’s more bang for your buck.”

Then this user chimed in, saying, “I have found my kind of Mums!”

“I never think to look in the kids’ section for adult stuff haha,” shared one woman.

Someone else joked, “We really need a Kmart after-dark group,” while another said, “So this is why Kmart is open so late…”

And this mum wrote: “Soft play is now a hard yes.” She added: “This has to be the best Kmart hack to date!”

Then this user claimed: “They’re going to be sold out sooo fast now.”

“From now on if I see these in ladies’ carts and they don’t have kids with them my mind is INSTANTLY going to think it’s for fun time reasons,” another shared.

As one joked: “‘Mum, why is my soft triangle toy in your bed?’”

“My daughter has this and seeing people using this as an alternative is making me extremely uncomfortable,” one mum laughed.

Another concluded: “I’m literally about to buy one tonight for part of my son’s bday present. Might need to buy two.”
