Montana Cox is back on home soil, stunning in a tiny bikini at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
The Australian model, who won Australia’s Next Top Model 12 years ago, was pictured at the iconic spot on Thursday, as the city sweltered through a heatwave.
The 30-year-old flaunted her physique in a skimpy black swimsuit, and appeared to be enjoying the surf alongside a male friend.
Cox, who was raised in Melbourne, moved abroad to New York and London before returning to Australia for good in 2021.
“I have half of my apartment in New York, half of my stuff still back in London. I came back [to Australia] quickly. I’m a bit like, where am I?” she told Stellar in September that year.
“I was in London when Covid happened and I still had my New York apartment. I got rid of the lease and got someone to pack all of my stuff. My whole apartment is sitting in New York storage right now. I don’t even know what’s there anymore. I’m happy at home now.”
Reflecting on ANTM in the same interview, Cox said it felt “like a whole different lifetime”.
“It was a great platform to get you out there and to learn, and see what modelling is all about. I reflect on it now … I was different person back then, so young and still learning,” she said.
In the decade since, she added she’d enjoyed plenty of “pinch-me” career moments.
“The [runway] shows in Paris were always quite surreal – you look back on it now and you’re like, woah, that was crazy. You’d be with Karl Lagerfeld one day, Alber Elbaz the next day, and they’d be dressing you,” she said.
“And you’d go out to do the shows and then a fashion week party; it was a really crazy life.”
