Aldi customers eager for limited edition hot cross buns bag

Aldi is getting into the Easter spirit by giving customers a chance to snap up a new item - but there are only 20 of them on offer.

Aldi is getting into the Easter spirit by giving customers a chance to snap up a hot cross bun-themed bag.

Aldi’s bun bags have two looks – one with lots of tiny hot cross buns on it while the other has two full sized versions of the baked good on it.

The bags feature two insulated compartments to keep your hot cross buns nice and toasty on the go.

Aldi runs competition for hot cross bun bags

To get your hands on one of the 20 hot cross buns bags available, all you have to do is head to Aldi’s Facebook page and explain why you love the Easter treat.

The competition runs for 10 days from March 14.

“I’m known in my social circles as the hot cross bun lady, enjoying them from Boxing Day every year,” one person wrote online as they tried to lay claim to one of the bags.

“I get tagged a million times a year in hot cross bun things on Facebook and have brainwashed my kids to love them too. Is this not enough.”

The bags have insulation pockets inside

Another said: “Please, please can you pick me! I would love to win one of these bags. I would pay if they were available in your shop. I have always loved hot cross buns and always buy them as soon as they are in the shop after Christmas.”

Another said she would love a bun bag so she can sneakily eat her hot cross buns without her tollder noticing and wanting a bite.

The supermarket currently has eight different types of hot cross buns for sale in store, with each retailing for $3.49.

There is the Bakers Life Chocolate Hot Cross Buns six pack as well as the Bakers Life Indulgent Salted Caramel & Choc Fudge Hot Cross Buns four pack.
