Woman recreates viral Kmart Christmas candle using five items

A Kmart item that went viral on TikTok has been hard to find, so one savvy woman took it upon herself to make her own version.

One savvy woman who was unable to find a popular candle from Kmart in-store has created her own using some simple items.

The woman revealed she had been searching for the Christmas Cookie candle since it went viral on TikTok.

“OK so I’m sorry if this looks tacky or silly in any way but I have been looking for the Christmas cookie sprinkle candle for days straight with no luck,” the woman said.

“My mother-in-law works at Kmart and said they went viral on TikTok and are going to be hard to get.

“Tonight I walked into Kmart Campbelltown, NSW, and I saw these normal Christmas cookie candles on a trolley. I grabbed one and thought to myself, ‘Maybe I could try and make my own version.’”

The woman said she bought a paint brush, craft glue and Selleys qwik grip adhesive contact spray.

She already had some craft sprinkles from a previous project.

“It may not look as nice as the other one or others may not like the end result, but I love it and I’m actually pretty stoked with how it turned out,” the woman said.

“It only took five minutes which was also a bonus. Just thought I would share in case others find this as a great alternative if they can’t get their hands on the Christmas cookie sprinkle candle.”

Many praised the woman’s brilliant DIY action, with some stating it looks better than the original.

One said: “I love it. It looks better than the original and a beautiful Christmas gift. Thanks for sharing.”

Another said: “I wouldn’t light it because I really didn’t like the scent but I’d love to have several of your version on a side table with a little plate of real gingerbread or shortbread cookies beside them.”

A third said: “I actually like your one better! Love it!”

The candle rose to popularity after one Kmart worker posted about it on her TikTok page.

The woman, named Gabby, took to the video-sharing platform to give insight into the Christmas-themed Kmart.

“I am currently filling in the Christmas section,” the Kmart employee began her clip.

“This candle is the most delicious thing I have smelled in my life.”
