Kmart workers reveal best time to score a discount at retail giant
A Kmart employee has revealed the day of the week that items are heavily discounted – with other workers backing it up.
Kmart workers have spilled the beans on the best time to shop in order to score a bargain after a savvy shopper showed off the massive discounts she nabbed on a recent trip.
Social media user @adaywithjessica showed off her bargain haul in a recent video, catching the eyes of an employee of the budget store.
Jessica said she went to Kmart on Monday night, revealing she managed to find flour canisters for $5, iced coffee cups for 20c and frying pans for $13.
But as she marvelled at her bargains, a Kmart employee commented revealing the reason behind the slashed prices - and other workers have backed it up.

The Kmart worker, based in South Australia, claimed discounts were often implemented on a Monday night in the store she worked in, speculating it was likely the same at stores Australia-wide.
Another former worker agreed.
“I think they are most Kmarts because they all price the same – from a former Kmart employee. I could be wrong though,” the social media user wrote.
Another employee said: “I work at Kmart and I can agree this is true.”
However not everyone agreed, claiming markdown times vary from store to store.
“It depends store to store for me. One store I go to has them on sale. But another store doesn’t,” one shopper said.
Kmart Australia declined to comment.
