The hardware store shared a clip of the kits being used to its popular TikTok account – and it quickly went viral, clocking up over 53,600 views and thousands of likes and excited comments.

On top of the candle-making kits, which are part of Bunnings’ new Practa project line, customers can also find an air-drying clay or resin-casting coaster kit.

“Our new Practa project kits have just dropped in stores and online with candle making, air-drying clay and resin-casting coasters a few of the projects you can try,” Bunnings craft and projects buyer Lizzie Bartholomew told news.com.au.

“With prices starting at under $15, the kits are proving a popular last-minute Christmas gift with plenty of customers grabbing one as a Kris Kringle, stocking filler or even a gift for a favourite teacher.

“This is the first drop of kits we’ve launched with more to come in the new year. The range offers plenty of options to get your creativity flowing and get you away from your screens.

The small bubble candle kit includes soy wax, a bubble silicone mould, candle wick, wick holding stick, pointed stick and vanilla scented pigments. It makes four mini bubble candles at 3.5cm high and costs just under $13.

A large bubble candle kit making two 5.3cm-high candles retails for $19.12.

And a rainbow candle kit, for $24.97, has enough materials for three of the taller rainbow-shaped candles which measure almost 11cm high.
