TikToker reveals two ‘unique’ ice creams at McDonald’s across Sydney
A TikTok foodie has lifted the lid on two secret McDonald’s desserts – with one only available at the fast food giant’s Bondi restaurant.
TikTok foodie Adrian Widjy has lifted the lid on two secret McDonald’s desserts that are currently only available at select restaurants across Australia.
Widjy, who posts under Places in Sydney Foodie, last week shared where in his home city customers can sample two unique takes on the fast food giant’s iconic soft serve cone.
The first — which he picked up at McDonald’s Gladesville, in the Lower North Shore — was the Chocolate Soft Serve Cone, which hit Aussie stores last year and are again being trialled at specific restaurants across NSW, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
“We look forward to hearing our customer’s feedback on the product,” a McDonald’s Australia spokesperson said of the ice cream.
Describing the dessert as “chocolatey perfection”, Widjy said it was “the best”.
The second item — which Widjy purchased in Bondi — is arguably lesser known: the Flavour Burst Soft Serve Cone, and is comprised of a regular soft serve cone with one of five flavour syrups of your choice.
He picked the grape syrup, but the cone can also come with chocolate, raspberry, banana and Pina Colada.
A McDonald’s spokeswoman confirmed to news.com.au that “the Soft Serve Flavour Burst is just available at Bondi”, adding there are “no plans to make it available at other restaurants at this stage”.
“In case you don’t know these two items exist in Sydney in two locations,” Widjy captioned the video.
“I know for chocolate soft serves there are other locations too. Know anymore? DM me please!”
The clip drummed up more than 15,000 likes and hundreds of comments, with Widjy’s followers quick to share their own “secret” Macca’s finds and declare how tasty both ice creams looked.
It’s not the first time the foodie has gone viral on the platform when it comes to McDonald’s; last November users went wild for his inventive soft serve-eating technique.
In the clip, Widjy filmed himself walking into a McDonald’s and ordering four cones, before combining them all together to make a “mashed soft serve”.
“This is called smashed soft serve, it is trending big time in Indonesia!” he wrote.
“And for good reason! It’s divine!”
