Cadbury have been teasing fans by revealing there’s a new cult Caramilk chocolate bar due to hit shelves soon. Now it’s been leaked online.

Man brutally set $16k of Cadbury Caramilk on fire

It’s the cult chocolate bar that has quite literally caused chaos in Australia.

And now after the hugely successful return of the once limited-edition Caramilk bar, it seems Cadbury are giving the people more of what they want.

In a Facebook group dedicated to “Caramilk Addicts” an extremely excited fan shared a photo of an very new take on the white chocolate and caramel chocolate – a Caramilk Twirl.

And it’s annoucement has caused quite a stir.

“Omg, my two faves,” one person wrote.

“When is this out, I can’t wait,” another said.

While others simply tagged their friends to share the news.

But within a matter of minutes, the chocolate bar mash up had been deleted, dashing all hopes and dreams of experiencing the “swirls and curls of Caramilk chocolate” coated in a thin layer of classic dairy milk.

Naturally, news.com.au is determined to discover whether this super-hybrid choccie is a legitimate creation and has contacted Cadbury Australia for comment.

During our weeks of rigorous reporting on the hot choc block, including pressing for more details on the apparent lack of Caramilk bars on supermarket shelves, the confectionary giant had hinted at a new creation coming our way.

“Cadbury Caramilk fans that are worried about how they might survive until the next batch arrives on shelves in early 2020 can rest a little easier knowing that in the meantime, we’ll be launching a limited edition Caramilk product in a format they’ve never seen before,” a Cadbury spokesperson told news.com.au.

Of course, we pressed harder for more information, but the brand stayed completely shtum.

However it now seems the secret is out, especially given how swiftly the eye-opening post was deleted.

Since news the highly-sought after sweet treat was returning, this time as a permanent addition to the Cadbury range, people have been going nuts. Dedicated fan pages have emerged online and demand for the stuff has been so high, cash-hungry shoppers were listing their bars for as much as $1000 a go on eBay.

Frustration and outrage ensued when fans realised the blocks tasted slightly different this time around, calling the 2018 limited edition run “tastier”.

“Beware guys — the flavour IS NOT the same, does not have that depth it had in last year’s batch,” a disappointed person wrote in the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook group earlier this month.

“They must have changed the recipe it’s just like white chocolate.”

Caramilk previously was part of the chocolate brand’s traditional line-up in New Zealand and Australia until it was discontinued in 1994.
