’Chocolate bar of the year’: Fans froth over new Cadbury block
A new Cadbury chocolate block you can only buy in Woolworths has excited shoppers – with one declaring it the “bar of the year”.
Chocolate giant Cadbury has released three new versions of its Marvellous Creations range – with consumers are labelling one the “chocolate bar of the year”.
A decade after the first Marvellous Creations range hit the shelves, there’s now Rocky Road, Birthday Cake and Caramilk versions of the sweet treat.
The three bars will be sold in 190g bars for $5 from late August and already eager shoppers are locating the bars on shelves and sharing their thoughts.

In the Facebook group dedicated to Caramilk fans, members who have snapped up the “delicious” bar have been sharing their thoughts.
However many have been commenting about how hard the block is to find.
“It’s starting to come out in stores now… look at your local Woolies,” one helpful woman wrote.
“Went to three stores and nothing,” another said.
Popular food blogger Nick Vavitiss has managed to get his hands on all three new flavours, declaring the Caramilk version the “chocolate bar of the year.
“THIS COULD BE MY CHOCOLATE BAR OF THE YEAR MY GOD IT IS GOOD,” he wrote.
“The caramilk is A GRADE it literally tastes like milky bar gold and the best part of these new CADBURY bars is that they have LOADED THEM WITH MIX INS.
“It’s like eating caramilk and m&ms together. The mix ins taste good and you CANT not be happy eating popping candy in your mouth.”
He concluded by giving it a 15 out of 10 rating.
Nick also shared his thoughts on the Rocky Road flavour, giving it a 14 out of 10 and declaring “it tastes exactly like the old rocky road bar that we had”.
While the Birthday Cake was his “least favourite” but still scored a 14 out of 10.
“This was basically the s’mores bar but just renamed BUT THATS OK,” he said.
“Our new range of Marvellous Creations are a treat for the young at heart, reminding us of the excitement and wonder of childhood wrapped up in delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate,” said Paul Chatfield, the company’s vice president of marketing.
“The release of these three new flavours, including the combination of Cadbury iconic Caramilk and Marvellous Creations, is a world first and set to be one of our biggest launches yet, combining two familiar favourites into a delicious and unique taste experience.”
The three new chocolate blocks will exclusively be available at Woolworths.
Woolworths category manager Mitchell Greatorex said: “Cadbury is a household name and we’re thrilled to exclusively range three brand new eclectic flavours for Woolworths customers to purchase.
“We look forward to seeing the proudly Australian-made products on shelves available for chocolate lovers towards the end of this month.”
The release is timed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Cadbury manufacturing chocolate in Australia.
It comes a month after Cadbury introduced its Boysenberry Ripple block from New Zealand to Australia.
