Cadbury Australia confirm rumour Marble is returning to shelves
Social media was sent into chaos yesterday over the rumour that a Cadbury block was returning after eight years. Now we can confirm it.
It’s the delicious rumour that took Australia by storm yesterday — but now news.com.au can exclusively reveal the truth.
After eight long years, Cadbury Marble bars WILL be returning to shelves in Australia and it is all thanks to the army of dedicated chocolate lovers who have campaigned tirelessly for its big comeback.
In an letter addressed to the 20,000 members of the Bring Back Cadbury Marble Facebook page seen first by news.com.au, the chocolate confectionary giant addressed the “whispers” of its return that took social media by storm yesterday.
“We have been absolutely blown away by the amount of support and love that you have for one of our classic flavours,” the letter reads.

“Please be assured that every plea, petition and comment has been heard – and we have been working hard to bring back what you want.”
The note, on Cadbury purple paper, goes on to read: “We can officially confirm we’re bringing Cadbury Dairy Milk Marble back and it’s because of each and every one of you.”
Marble fans are sure to be delighted after a claim the chocolate block, which is a milk and white chocolate swirl with a hazelnut praline centre, emerged online.
However, many questioned the authenticity of the claim as it came just 15 weeks after Cadbury issued a public statement stating they had no plans to produce the much-loved block again.
To prove the outrageously exciting claims, the group’s leader – who has previously been successful in transforming Golden Gaytime into ice cream in a tub – shared two photos.
One snap showed a Cadbury-branded cardboard box adorned with a delivery tag reading: “Marble Trial 2020.”
The second photo was of the chocolate itself.

“20k FOLLOWERS … our army is POWERFUL! Don’t F**k with Bring Back Cadbury Marble FB page,” the post read.
“A few peeps have been demanding proof, to quell that lack of faith I deliver you these. Vive La Marble! We did it!”
Reaction was strong, with more than 1500 comments being left on the post in a matter of hours.
“HOW F***ING DELIGHTFUL, I AM ECSTATIC,” one said.
“OMG I’m so excited, my husband had to go and get this when I was pregnant with our first child,” another commented, clearly feeling the nostalgia.
While another declared: “I’m SUPPOSED to be getting married this November … dress ain’t gonna fit now.”
However, some of the group’s Marble fans remained sceptical over the news.
“I really hope this is true and if it does come back I hope I’m not disappointed. Fingers crossed it is still as good as I remember,” one said sadly.
While one furiously wrote: “How do I know this isn’t a lie? Don’t f**k with me, I’m trusting in you.”
Rumours first began earlier this week when the page – which has been campaigning for the block to come back since it was discontinued in 2012 – shared a photo of its esteemed leader holding a block of the much-wanted bar.
“Marble is coming back this year! Don’t have exact dates yet. Should soon. We brought it back! Vive La Marble!” the post read.
What bloody marvellous news for a Friday.
