Cadbury ‘Caramilk’ chocolate makes anticipated return
Delicious news just in: The Cadbury chocolate that sparked a shopper frenzy is back — and there’s a sneaky way you can get your hands on a block early.
Good news chocolate lovers — Caramilk is officially back.
The chocolate block that sparked a frenzy when it was launched as a limited-run flavour in 2018 will hit shelves again next month.
Cadbury has confirmed today that Caramilk is making a return in supermarkets from October 2 after overwhelming customer feedback.
“We’ve listened to the tens of thousands of Aussies asking us to bring Cadbury Caramilk back,” Cadbury marketing manager Katrina Watson said.
“We couldn’t ignore their passion for our golden chocolate block, so we’re proud to be bringing it back.”
Eager fans will even be able to get their hands on a Caramilk early, with 500 blocks hitting the Cadbury Joy Deliveries store on eBay this Thursday.
To sweeten the deal, eBay will be offering free delivery to Australian addresses, however there is a limit of one per customer.
Speculation first emerged last month that Cadbury would be resurrecting Caramilk.
Jamie from The Grocery Geek — an independent Australian products review group — told news.com.au she’d been reliably tipped off Caramilk would be back very soon.
“Originally, we were advised by one of our contacts within Cadbury and this was also confirmed by a couple of our contacts within the grocery retail sector,” Jamie said.

Cadbury’s Caramilk, a hybrid caramel and white chocolate bar, was part of the chocolate brand’s line-up in New Zealand and Australia until it was discontinued in 1994.
It arrived back in Australian supermarkets for a limited run in early 2018, however blocks of the precious golden chocolate were hard to come by.

Soon it emerged savvy shoppers were buying Caramilk in bulk, selling it on eBay for up to 10 times the recommended retail price.
After it was discontinued, Christian Hull launched a petition to make the white chocolate caramel block “a permanent thing”, gathering more than 18,000 signatures.
