Australians have given a new product at Aldi the tick of approval, labelling the discount supermarket’s latest launch a “ten out of ten”.

One product you need to buy at Aldi

Australians are raving about a new product at Aldi, labelling the discount supermarket’s latest launch a “ten out of ten”.

The German retailer, beloved for its affordable offerings – particularly during the current cost of living crisis, recently released a range of Easter products ahead of the annual public holiday.

Among the regular chocolate treats, which include bunnies and eggs, are a selection of “filled” mini eggs – one of which is proving very popular among Aldi shoppers.

Taking to TikTok, several delighted Aussies have shared their love of Aldi’s Dairy Fine Mini Peanut Butter Filled Eggs, claiming the $2.99 product is “honestly amazing”.

“These eggs have CHANGED THE GAME,” a social media user, who uses the handle @gemupsonmcpike, captioned a recent taste test video.

The fitness lover then states that peanut butter-filled eggs were the “one product” Aussies should buy for the Easter festivities.

“You open them up and you think, ‘they don’t even look that good’, but wait,” she said.

“Look at all that peanut butter, it tastes like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

“I’ve already eaten half the packet I’m not going to lie to you, these are unreal.”

But she wasn’t the only person with a positively glowing review of the limited-edition supermarket item. TikTok foodie @nectoriouspapi declared the sweet treat was “a definite yes from me”.

“This is an easy ten out of ten for me,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, TikTok user @zdogg9 tried the eggs on camera and declared: “Mmm, that’s epic.”

One woman declared in a separate video the eggs were “better than any other brand and 40 per cent cheaper”.

The peanut butter flavour isn’t the only variety of the Easter treat on Aldi shelves, with the supermarket also releasing Popcorn, Corn Flakes and Brownie-flavoured Dairy Fine Mini Filled Eggs for 2024.

This is alongside the popular Raspberry Popping Candy Mini Eggs that hit shelves last year.

Aldi’s Easter-themed “Special Buys” range comes after Aussies shared outrage at the price of a 250-gram Cadbury chocolate bunny, which are priced at $10 in Coles and Woolworths.

“$10 is outrageous,” one shopper, who snapped a picture of the cult item and shared it to X, wrote.

The post sparked a huge reaction, with many taking aim at the price per kilo cost.

“I just noticed shopping today the price is now [per] 100g and not kg. These are 40 bucks a kilo,” one wrote.

“$40 per kilo! Not just outrageous, that’s theft,” another shared.

One simply wrote: “The prices are ridiculous!”
