Rebel Wilson’s personal trainer has shared the gruelling workout the actress used to lose weight — and her fans are floored by how tough it is.
After declaring 2020 her “Year of Health”, Rebel Wilson has been hitting the gym with some seriously killer workouts.
Her fitness instructor, Jono Castano Acero, recently took to Instagram to share a clip showing the actress as she smashed out a core and upper body workout using a medicine ball.
“That’s it, as hard as you can,” the celebrity trainer can be heard saying in the background before counting down from seven to one.
Captioning the post, Castano Acero wrote: “The ball didn’t stand a CHANCE! Work it gurl @rebelwilson.”

Fans commenting on the post were quick to praise the star for her efforts with many saying she was “killing it”.
One said: “That looks so hard”, while another added: “That ball didn’t stand a chance. Rebel’s killing it!”
The 39-year-old actress recently left her fans stunned when she stepped out looking visibly slimmer, declaring she was committed to improving her health and wellness.
In an Instagram post in the New Year, she revealed she intended to “avoid the sugar and junk food” after overindulging during the silly season.
“Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called ‘The Year of Health’ — so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had.
“But I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”
Alongside her motivational post, she shared a snap that showed her out for a walk on a beach in her activewear — and fans were quick to praise the Hollywood star’s visible weight loss.
“I’m so proud of you! You look fantastic already with your weight loss,” one said.
“You look great, you look absolutely beautiful beforehand and still now. Such a role model,” another wrote.
“You already look amazing! Killing it! Any positive changes are good changes,” another fan said.
In a recent interview with E!, her trainer Jono Castano Acero explained he had created a specific program for Rebel covering six days.
He said he encourages his clients to workout daily for 45-minute sessions, noting “results come through consistency”.
His personalised program for the star included high-intensity interval training, mobility, weights, resistance, technique and tempo. Rebel has one day off a week to rest her body.
Although there isn’t any question about Rebel’s commitment to her health journey, at the outset Castano Acero said he and the star were “focusing on enjoying training and getting the body moving”.
He said he believed that anyone who struggled to find the motivation to exercise would benefit from working with a personal trainer.
“Training is not just about the 45 minutes, it’s also how you can keep someone motivated outside of that time,” he said.
He also revealed working with Rebel had been an “absolute pleasure” saying he loved the star’s sense of humour.
