Greek Model is proudly making unibrows fashionable

CARA Delevingne made big, bushy eyebrows fashionable – but now a model has taken things one step further by growing a monobrow.

HAVING a thick set of brows is almost a requirement for models these days, but one Greek Cypriot beauty is bringing back the unibrow.

Sophia Hadjipanteli, a model and marketing student at the University of Maryland, proudly shows off her jet-black monobrow on Instagram.

“I am not really doing this to show people that they have to like [my monobrow],” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

“I am more so doing it to show people that they can get on with their lives by having a preference.”

Sophia thinks her face looks better with naturally thick brows, but thinks it’s “totally cool” if people aren’t keen on the bold look, reports The Sun.

The model’s parents emigrated from Cyprus to London, and she credits her giant face framers to good genetics, and joins models Scarlett Costello and Cara Delevingne for their famous brows.

Sophia, who is a natural blonde, said the striking appearance of her brows was enhanced when she tried tinting them and accidentally dyed them black.

She now dyes her brows whenever blonde hair starts to show.

Sophia also tames the hairs with castor oil at night before she goes to bed, saying the at-home remedy stimulates growth.

Although she is a fan of her look, the muse admitted to Harper’s Bazaar that her thick brows and bright eye make-up lead to people “literally staring” at her when she is at school.

But, she doesn’t mind the attention and even uses the hashtag #UnibrowMovement in her Instagram bio.

“Until people start to accept others for this specific feature on their face, I won’t feel ready to move on from it,” she told the publication.
