On TikTok, shoppers have pointed out the Lacura Summer Touch Booty Balm, which goes on sale October 26, has a striking similarity to the Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum cream.
But while the original version costs $72 at Mecca, Aldi’s “dupe” of the cellulite-fighting cream costs just $9.99.
Of course, the quality of the ingredients will vary, but Lacura has used guarana extract to mimic the infamous tropical scent and firming effect of the cult Bum Bum cream.
There are also other products in Aldi’s new summer collection that are similar to other Sol De Janerio favourites according to fans.
“I found dupes for Sol De Janeiro at Aldi,” TikTok user @SamanthaIzundu said in a video.
“This body shimmer from them, I don’t think you can even buy it anymore, but it’s $8.99 [at Aldi].
“Then we’ve got the Bum Bum cream and called it Booty cream for $9.99.
“I’ll be getting that and the body shimmer.”
Other beauty lovers also shared their excitement over the similarities, with fans posting about it in the popular YouBeauty podcast Facebook group.
