ROXY Jacenko is on the hunt for a publicist to join her headline-grabbing PR firm Sweaty Betty.

The self-confessed workaholic, who famously worked throughout her treatment for breast cancer last year, is known for her hands-on approach to running her business, and fosters a close working relationship with her young employees.

Jacenko’s Instagram post advertising the role has attracted hundreds of likes and comments from would-be new recruits begging to be considered.

PR queen told news.com.au she was in the process of selecting a publicist with hospitality experience to cover the firm’s restaurant portfolio, after recently taking on a new senior fashion publicist.

“The year is off to a great start client wise, hence the requirements for additional team members to keep up with demand,” she wrote.

One thing that is sure to stand applicants out from the crowd is ensuring that their social media profiles are on point.

Jacenko’s army of lookalike publicists are expected to be as active online as their boss, with those in the inner circle rewarded with cocktails, dinners and even overseas holidays.

Junior publicist Gemma Oldfield and her fellow ‘Bettys’ Brittany Kerin, Grace Garrick, Anthea Floudas and Holly Asser post prominently on Instagram about their work, which involves meeting product placement quotas, planning product launches and fashion shows, and brokering celebrity endorsement deals.

In exchange for their hard work, Jacenko’s team enjoys all the perks you would expect from a lifestyle-focused publicity firm that represents brands including Toni & Guy hair salons, Doughnut Time, Bar Macchiavelli, Lucky You juice cleanses, Sydney Smashcakes, Icelandic Water, Catalina Rose Bay, Bistro Moncur and the Woolhara Hotel.

Ms Oldfield joined the boss on a family trip to Hawaii in January, acting as a stand-in nanny for children Pixie and Hunter after their previous carer left to pursue a nursing career.

Jacenko’s husband Oliver Curtis, who had been their primary caregiver before his legal troubles, is serving a one-year sentence at Cooma prison for conspiracy to commit insider trading.

Ms Oldfield, a former radio journalist, showed every indication she was enjoying her working holiday, appearing in a snap captioned “girls gone wild” showing the pair let their hair down at a hotel bar in Honolulu.

But it’s not all fun and games, as Jacenko revealed last month when she spoke out about misperceptions of her business — saying it was not as glamorous as it appeared.

“When you’re a business owner I think you have to realise it’s not all champagne and canapés,” she told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

“I’m the girl who stacks the fridge and changes the toilet rolls. If there’s an event I host the door, I’m not in the event drinking champagne.”

In a separate interview, she described how she spent most of her day glued to her desk, getting up only for toilet breaks.

“A lot of people think PR is about long lunches and wining and dining,” she told Whimn.com.au.

“That may work for some companies but not for me. What I’m good at is the hustle. I’m good at the deal. I’m good at being at my desk. My skill is that I can craft a story, and I can’t do that if I’m boozing at lunch.”
