Revealed: Australia’s 100 most expensive streets

Australia’s most expensive streets to buy a house can be found in Sydney. But which Aussie city is the most affordable?

Property prices predicted to 'continue to rise' in 2024

The most expensive street in Australia has a median price of $23,755,000.

Sydney’s Wolseley Road in Point Piper has topped the country’s most expensive streets list according to data from Ray White taken over the past 12 months.

Unsurprisingly, the street attracts Australia’s wealthiest residents – from Westfield chairman Frank Lowy, Hungry Jacks’ owner Jack Cowin and ex-Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

Overall, Sydney takes the cake for most expensive suburbs in Australia – with the eastern suburbs making up the majority of the top ten wealthiest streets. Victoria isn’t too far behind, with Linlithgow Road and Clendon Road in Melbourne’s Toorak also making the top ten.

On the other end of the scale, the cheapest street in Australia can be found in regional NSW. A five-hour drive from central Sydney, the median price for a house in Wollongough St Ungarie, Central West is $32,300.

Factors contributing to high property prices on Australia’s most expensive streets include scarcity, exclusivity, and demand for luxury living in prime locations.

Here’s what the median house price by street looks like across the county.
