TikTok influencer earning up to $1M a post
Khaby Lame’s star keeps on rising, with the influencer reportedly set to earn $10m by the end of 2022.
Ever since becoming TikTok’ most influential person on the platform, Khaby Lame’s earnings have gone from huge, to eye-watering, with the comedian now reportedly set to make almost $15 million by the end of the year.
Born in Senegal and living in Italy, the 22-year-old is best known for his stitches with wildly unhelpful “life hacks”, where he demonstrates how ridiculous they are. His content does stretch into other comedy skits as well.
What started as a way to pass the time when Italy first went into lockdown in 2020, now boasts 149.5 million viewers.
How he makes money
In a profile with Fortune, it was revealed he earns up to $1,120,339 per clip on TikTok. He also reportedly makes about $597,514 for brand collaborations, not to mention IRL branding partnerships.
He earned $672,203 for a partnership with Hugo Boss, who he walked the runway for in their Milan fashion Week show.
His Fortune profile also shared that he’d signed a deal for over $1 million for a single clip in collaboration with a major Hollywood studio.
Becoming number one
Lame became the new number one TikTok user in June this year, dethroning Charli D’Amelio after two years of her reign.

D’Amelio was asked about passing on her TikTok crown by American publication, Tech Crunch, where she was very gracious.
“I had number one for two years. It’s time for someone else to have that spot, and I’m proud of him,” the 18-year-old said.
“He’s a friend, and there’s no bad blood … It feels great to know that someone else is getting that spot, someone that is sweet and a good person and loves what they do.”
