A Broken Hill man has recounted the moment he woke to the best Christmas gift ever – a $2.1 million Saturday Lotto ticket.

The man in his 40s held one of the three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4219 on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Each division one winning entry won $2,111,667.39.

However, the winner was oblivious to his festive good fortune until an official from The Lott broke the news to him on Boxing Day.

“I’m shaking!” the man exclaimed.

“I had no idea! I hadn’t even checked my ticket because of everything going on with Christmas.

“I don’t think I received any presents as good as this one! It’s all real, right?

“This was the last thing I was expecting on Boxing Day.”

A Broken Hill man has unwrapped a $2.1 million Lotto win on Christmas Day.

The stunned winner admitted he now looked forward to starting 2022 with greater financial freedom.

“This does so much for us,” he said.

“We’ve been trying to buy a new house, so that’s now taken care of.

“I’ll still keep working. I won’t retire. Things just become so much easier. There will just be less to worry about.

“I just can’t believe it!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 50-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4219 on December 25, 2021 were 31, 6, 42, 21, 30 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 38 and 15.

The New South Welshman in his 40s held one of the three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4219 on Saturday.

Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4219 – one each from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 220 so far this financial year, including 75 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In the 12 months to June 30, 2021, Saturday Lotto created 174 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 341 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $435.21 million.
