Oz Lotto is set to jackpot from $2 million after no one took out the $2 million division one prize.

However, four lucky winners will each take home more than $25,000 after taking out division two.

The numbers you needed this week were 40, 30, 36, 26, 3, 18, 14 and the two supplementaries were 13 and 9.

Two Tuesdays ago, two people split the $30 million jackpot. Then last week, the $2 million prize was snatched up, the first time someone has won the base prize so far this year.

With just 10 days left in this year, there have been 18 Oz Lotto division one wins that have collectively taken home more than $279 million in division one prize money.

Six of these wins have been in Victoria, five in NSW, three in Western Australia, two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

While there have been fewer lottery division one wins this year compared to last year (18 compared to 24), 2021 saw more division one prizes given out, resulting in $279 million in winnings as opposed to $234 million the year before.

Last week, a Melbourne dad became instantly $2.6 million richer after choosing the winning numbers.

The Seaford millionaire told the Lott he was too afraid to sleep last Tuesday night in case the $2.6 million Oz Lotto win he’d just discovered was a dream.

“I checked my account last night and discovered I’d won. I never usually check it straight after the draw, but I just had this weird feeling,” he said.

“I thought I might have won $20. I never in a million years thought I’d win $2 million.

“When I saw it, I screamed, ‘Oh Jesus!’ I felt like I was dreaming.

“My family came running to see what was wrong, and that’s when I told them. They couldn’t believe it! We checked the ticket so many times.

“I had a very sleepless night last night. I think I kept the whole house up. I kept checking my account to see if it was real.”

The dad said the money would go towards his kids and an early retirement for both he and his partner.

“I was worried it was just a dream, so I am so glad you’ve called to confirm this,” he told lottery officials.

“We’ve both been talking about retiring for years, so that’s what we’ll do first.

“We’ll pretty much retire immediately, which is just incredible. It’s a dream come true.

“The kids will get looked after as well, and we’re going to do some renovations on the house.”
