Bridgerton star Florence Hunt joins Australian drama series Mix Tape
A star of the hit Netflix series Bridgerton has been cast in an upcoming Australian drama alongside actress Teresa Palmer.
A star of the hit Netflix series Bridgerton has been cast in an upcoming Australian drama, Mix Tape, alongside Aussie actress Teresa Palmer and British actor Jim Sturgess.
Florence Hunt, who plays Hyacinth Bridgerton in the smash-hit period drama, is set to play the role of Alison, who is the younger version of Palmer’s character in the BINGE series.
In a casting announcement made this week, the Foxtel Group also revealed that newcomer Rory Walton-Smith will play the younger version of Sturgess’ character Daniel.
Filming began in Australia in May and has now crossed the miles to Dublin, Ireland where the cast will film some nostalgic scenes for the series, which follows Alison and Daniel’s relationship as they reconnect from through a song from their shared past.
The four-part miniseries is adapted by Irish writer Jo Spain from the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Jane Sanderson and directed by Australian director Lucy Gaffy.

Mix Tape explores Alison and Daniel’s love story which began when they were lovestruck teens in high school in Ireland before they move to opposite sides of the world.
But a pivotal moment occurs and they are back in each other’s lives, with a song from their past evoking memories and making them wonder if they were meant to be.
“Mix Tape takes the Foxtel Group in a bold new direction of international storytelling and brings together a stellar line-up of cast from across the globe,” Alison Hurbert-Burns, Commissioner and Executive Producer, said in a statement.
“With production wrapped in Sydney and now underway in Dublin we are thrilled to welcome Florence and Rory along with the rest of the cast to this special series.”
Also joining the cast are Irish actors Mark O’Halloran, Helen Behan, Conor Sánchez, Jonathan Harden and Siobhan O’Kelly, along with British actor Alexis Rodney, and Finnish actress Sara Soulié.
The Aussie cast consists of Aussie talent Julia Savage, Jacqueline McKenzie, Chika Ikogwe, and Ben Lawson.
Lawson is best known for playing the male lead in the hit Netflix series Firefly Lane opposite Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke.
