And Just Like That boss confirms beloved star Candice Bergen to return for new season
Season 2 of the Sex And The City spin-off series sees sitcom star Candice Bergen reprise her role as Carrie’s no-nonsense Vogue editor, Enid Fink.
A familiar face is set to return in season 2 of the Sex And The City spin-off, And Just Like That. Sorry diehard, fans – it’s not Kim Cattrall.
Beloved sitcom star Candice Bergen is due to reprise her role as no-nonsense fictional Vogue editor Enid Frick – the same magazine Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) considers one of New York City’s most “relevant” mastheads on the newsstands.
“Candice Bergen is back as Enid, which we’re thrilled about because I always loved Enid,” the show’s executive producer Michael Patrick King confirmed to Entertainment Weekley. “She is a cold, wonderful diva of publishing.”
Fans will recall Bergen making various appearances on the original series – which airs on Binge and Foxtel in June – as well as the first film in the franchise, Sex And The City: The Movie.
Bergen’s last appearance was in the 2008 movie as Carrie was preparing to marry Mr. Big (played by Chris Noth). At the time, Enid wanted her to appear on the fashion glossy’s pages with the coverline “The Last Single Girl”.
King’s confirmation comes five months after Bergen – best known for her award-winning roles in Boston Legal and Murphy Brown, where she was nominated for three consecutive Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series nominations. Bergen went on to win the last two in 1994 and 1995.

It comes six months after Bergen was spotted on the set of And Just Like That. In December, she was photographed arriving to the New York City set, holding what looked to be a script.
Also rejoining the cast for season 2 is Carrie’s great love Aiden (John Corbett), the furniture designer who she cheated on with Mr. Big on the series.
King also confirmed that British singer Sam Smith – who is no-binary and uses pronouns they/them pronouns – will be another guest star after filming a mystery role for the series.
“Two days after they won the Grammy, they’re on our show with a Carrie necklace that says ‘Sam.’ They said they and their sisters all have them.”
Needless to say Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all returning for season 2, with a teaser trailer dropping just weeks ago.
