A man who allegedly stabbed a former Bachelorette reality TV star has denied the allegation and is heading to court for a trial.

A man who allegedly stabbed an Adelaide reality TV contestant has denied the claims and will stand trial over the alleged incident.

On Friday, Abdul Kadws Mohammed Amin pleaded not guilty in Adelaide District Court to the aggravated charge of causing harm with intent, arising from an alleged altercation with Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise contestant Paddy Colliar in August last year.

Mr Colliar was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital after he received stab wounds to the back while at a party in Para Hills West.

At the time of Mr Amin’s arrest, police alleged he was involved in an altercation with a woman at the party, held at the Pole-4-Fitness pole dancing studio along Beafield Rd in Para Hills West. SA Police allege Mr Colliar was stabbed with a knife after he tried to intervene.

Mr Amin, who initially appeared unrepresented in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in February this year, on Friday appeared before Judge Joana Fuller alongside lawyer Kate Budzynski.

Judge Fuller set a trial date for November 2023.
