Bachelorette star Georgia Love closes pyjama business
An Aussie reality TV star has been forced to close her “passion project” business just four years after it began trading.
A popular pyjama brand whoch was started by a former Bachelorette contestant has been forced to close as the famous frontwoman pursues other fields.
Former reality television contestant Georgia Love announced this week the business she co-founded during the pandemic, Georgia Elliot Sleep, would close.
“The growth has blown me away … the customers are the best and most supportive people in the world,” Ms Love posted to social media.
“The passion is still there but the time to put into it is not, as my media career and personal life are, in the very best way, busy.”
The business began as a “passion project” in 2020, with Ms Love and friend Jessica Goodear taking a punt during the pandemic.
Ms Love’s closure social media post indicates stock will be on sale.
The television presenter appeared on The Bachelorette in 2016.
The Melbourne woman has worked for Channel 7 as a presenter, but was pulled from on-air roles after a social media post she made in 2021.
In the video post she insinuated a Chinese restaurant was cooking and serving cat meat. She apologised, but a sleuth found a similar post Ms Love had made in 2013.
Ms Love denied there was any racist insinuation in the video post.
