2020 Bachelor finale: Everything we know about Bella Varelis

Ahead of The Bachelor’s home visits tonight, here’s everything we know about widely tipped top two contestant Bella Varelis and her star-studded dating past.

She’s become the surprise “villain” of The Bachelor this season after things went south with former friend Irena in her quest for love with Locky Gilbert.

As it turns out, frontrunner Bella Varelis is no stranger to a high-profile romance, having dated a few fellow reality stars and the ex of superstar Miley Cyrus, Cody Simpson.

Here’s everything we know about 25-year-old Bella and her dating history:

The 25-year-old beauty is based in NSW, where she works as a freelance digital marketing creative.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Bella, who has a background in digital marketing, has an associates degree in marketing and communications and a diploma in fashion business.

She worked as a buyer for Her Fashion Box before pursuing a career in social media marketing.

In the early weeks of the season, there were whispers she and Locky knew each other outside the show.

In an episode of the So Dramatic! podcast hosted by Megan Pustetto, former contestant Nadine Kodsi, who was eliminated on the first night, claimed that a number of the contestants believed Bella already knew Locky prior to filming.

“I honestly think Bella is going to win and the reason why I think that is because I personally think it was set up,” Nadine told Pustetto.

“Apparently they met in Bali and … she basically made an agreement to go on the show and then they’d be together,” she continued.

“Now it’s so obvious because if you were there on the night, I actually said, I looked over to her, and said, ‘You are going to win.’ I asked her, ‘Did you guys know each other beforehand,’ and she said, ‘No I’ve never met him.’”

“It just looked so set up,” Nadine added.

The former contestant even alleged that Bella confirmed to one of the contestants that she and Locky had an “agreement”.

Locky shut down the suggestions shortly after, tellingDaily Mail Australia in a statement: “I had never met Bella prior to her arrival on The Bachelor red carpet.”

No stranger to the Bachelor social circles, Bella previously dated Bachelorette contestant and model Sam Johnston from Georgia Love’s season. According to New Idea, the pair dated from 2015, before he appeared on the show, and briefly moved in together before they split.

Word on the street is she also had a “fling” with Miley Cyrus’ ex Cody Simpson.

One of Bella’s Bachelor pals leaked details about her ‘fling’ with the Aussie musician.

The details emerged on the So Dramatic! podcast this week, by host Megan Pustetto, explaining that Bella was very vocal about exposing the details of her affair with the singer.

In fact, the contestant said that Bella “only dates celebs” and while in the mansion often bragged about the many high-profile people she had dated in the past.

According to Who, Bella also dated a contestant on the US version of The Bachelorette, Dean Michael Unglert.

The reality star defended herself on Instagram recently against the claims that she only dates “Bachie” men, saying she dated Johnston before he was on the show.

“I haven’t ‘slept around with Bachie boys’. I dated my ex before he even did the show, show people see a few dots and like to try (to) connect them when they have absolutely no reason to be connected to justify it. Nevertheless, thank you for your opinion and for thinking you know me.”

On her past romances, Bella previously told New Idea: “I always manage to attract men who aren’t ready for relationships.

“I had my heart broken pretty badly, being cheated on and yo-yoed has made it really hard for me to trust again.”

“But I’m trying to not let my past affect my future.”
