Sam and Aira eliminated from Beauty and the Geek
After a tough gym class challenge, fan favourite’s Sam and Aira were sent home on Beauty and the Geek.
Monday’s episode of Beauty and the Geek unfortunately sees one couple go home, but not before they all put up a great fight.
The challenge saw the Geeks front and centre … of an exercise class.
The Geeks had to run a gym class as expert fitness trainers to a group of unsuspecting members who think this is their normal class.
Eliza is thrilled – that is until host Sophie Monk reveals that it’s the Geeks only that will be running the class.
Unfortunately, Sam and Aira found themselves in the elimination round against Mitchell and Ashleigh.
However, it was Sam and Aira who ended up losing.
Sam, a 23-year-old footy fan who works at a local grocery store in Victoria, was bummed.
“I didn’t see myself getting this far,” he said. “The whole experience has been awesome.”
When Sophie asked Sam how the experience changed him, he gave all the credit to Aira, the 23-year-old medical secretary from NSW.
“I’ve come out of my shell, Aira has taught me to be really confident and just be yourself. It’s been great.”
“I’m so happy that he has already opened up so much. It’s rewarding being friends with him,” added Aira.
Sam ended it on saying that Aira will be his “friend for life”.
“I’m so happy I came into this experience,” Aira told the camera. “It’s been life changing and so amazing. You get a new perspective on so many different people and see how unique they are. The Geeks are so lovely. Now I have 10 new Geek friends and I love them so much.”
Adorable.
Last week, Sam was completely unrecognisable after he had his afro shaved off during the makeover episode.

Sam appeared taken aback by his new look, confessing he was adjusting to life without his afro. He said the new haircut felt “weird as … it’s so breezy now!”

Host Sophie Monk said he looked like a long-lost Jonas Brother – which made him feel “really happy … lost for words”.
