Beauty and the Geek contestant Kiran’s incredible makeover
The first Beauty and the Geek contestant, Kiran, 30, has submitted to his extreme makeover – and what a transformation it is.
The first of Beauty and the Geek’s ‘geeks’ got his makeover in Sunday night’s episode – and what a transformation.
Law graduate Kiran, 30, was the first to submit to the show’s extreme makeover process, and host Sophie Monk assembled the rest of the show’s contestants back at HQ for him to make his big entrance.
Here’s “cinema buff and avid comic book reader” Kiran before:
And here he is after his makeover:
Speaking to a visibly stunned Sophie after his big reveal, Kiran said he still had some work to do to make sure his attitude matched his new look.
“I need to work on my confidence … I’ve spent the last 30 years being single, so I’m very comfortable being alone. This is taking me out of my comfort zone, being more comfortable sharing my life with other people.”

And as for his makeover? “I love it, it’s very hip. I feel like I’m in a boy band! I do feel more confident. How could you not when you look like this?”
And the Beauty he was paired with, Bryanna, gave him the seal of approval. “I’m so happy because you’re so happy – you’re smiling from ear to ear!”
Speaking to news.com.au before the season started, Monk said this new reboot of Beauty and the Geek has more of a focus on friendship, rather than forcing romantic encounters between the contestants.
“It‘s not the stereotypes it was before, when you’d make the beauties do math, and make the geeks get spray tans. It’s not that,” she said of the show, which had been off-air since 2014.
“The challenge is about growing and bringing the best out of each other. And if they find romance, awesome, but there’s no pressure on that. If you find an awesome friendship, that you grow out of it, that’s great too.”
