MAFS wife was ‘delusional’ before dumping, fans say

Viewers have lashed out at MAFS wife Alyssa for her absolutely ridiculous criticisms of her husband Duncan prior to being dumped.

Married At First Sight fans have lashed out at wife Alyssa for her ridiculous criticisms of husband Duncan prior to being dumped on Sunday night’s show.

Alyssa laid into her spouse for the way he allegedly changed during the experiment, while failing to show any insight into her own shortcomings.

It came as the couple spent a few days apart in the lead up to the show’s final vows.

Instead of using the time to figure out how she could better herself in order to repair their relationship, Alyssa made up reasons why Duncan was to blame for their issues.

She even suggested she could help him change.

“The Duncan in the beginning, that was a very different Duncan,” she said.

“I want the real Duncan back … I know that Duncan isn’t going to change overnight but I want to help him grow as a person as a partner.”

She vented to her mother: “He takes one word and runs with it and that’s what’s so frustrating … I still have a question in my head if Duncan is truly ready to settle down and potentially be a role model and a future father for my child.

“I don’t think that Duncan’s given me the reassurance I need for a long-term relationship. I feel like if anything he’s put more doubts and concerns into my head for a long-term relationship.

“Duncan has this very unrealistic view of what a relationship should be like and how perfect it should be and it’s a real concern for me heading into my final vows.”

Meanwhile, Duncan talked to his sister about feeling rejected, saying: “I’m not used to the level of conflict with Alyssa, it seems really full on for me …

“I’ve really thought about what words to say in front of Alyssa so not to trigger her and to really make sure that my behaviour wouldn’t give Alyssa any reason to doubt me or feel insecure.

“I’m starting to doubt my judgment, my way of looking at the world.”

So, he called it quits during the final vows.

Fans found it laughable and shocking that Alyssa couldn’t – or wouldn’t – reflect on her own issues instead of deflecting onto Duncan and finding issues with him, who most believe had treated her very well.
