MAFS couple’s cringe-worthy kiss roasted

Ning’s attempt at bonding with her new husband has backfired horribly, with viewers roasting the awkward make-out session online.

MAFS 2019 Episode 4 Recap: The Honeymoons

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more awkward between Married At First Sight newlyweds Mark and Ning, there was this kiss.

After a less than friendly reception during their wedding, Ning decided to throw Mark a bone and reward him “a pash” during Thursday night’s episode.

“I felt like I did owe it to Mark to show that I was interested — great honeymoon babe, let’s have a pash,” she told producers beforehand.

As the two floated in the pool at their Bangkok hotel, Ning decided to make her move.

“Bring it in, bring it in,” Ning instructed Mark, gesturing for him to come towards her before going in for a kiss.

The pair embraced passionately in the water, with Mark clearly happy things were moving along.

“Yay,” he said.

But Mark’s glee killed the mood for Ning, with the mother of three breaking away from her “husband” and swimming off, splashing him with water as she said: “Don’t do yays.”

“No more kissing Mark — you keep coming back for more,” Ning added.

In an interview afterwards Ning was blunt about what happened: “I didn’t really enjoy the kiss very much.”

And Mark was swiftly rejected.

The awkwardness continued as they pair lay on sun loungers, with Ning asking Mark: “Are you sort of relieved that you got your pash today?”

Taken aback by her question, Mark admitted there was still “a long way to go” as it didn’t “really give me a lot of confidence that you want more of it”.

“I may have made a mistake, I tried it out, tested the waters — maybe I’m not ready, maybe give me a little bit longer, I don’t know,” Ning replied bluntly.

“For another pash?” Mark asked.

“Yeah,” Ning hit back.

Viewers weren’t too impressed by Ning’s actions, calling the kiss awkward and cringeworthy.
