TV veteran Grant Denyer was spotted celebrating the moment he was crowned winner of Dancing With The Stars alongside his dance partner Lily Cornish.

The duo – who were announced winners of the Channel 7 All Stars series on Sunday night – watched the prerecorded show live at a star-studded viewing party alongside some of their co-stars including Kylie Gillies, Olympia Valance, Rob Mills, Johnny Ruffo and Kris Smith.

Denyer, 44, and Cornish, 22, were seen cheering when their win was announced on TV, as they partied at the Flying Fish restaurant at The Star in Sydney.

During the telecast, the Gold Logie winner described the victory as the “best sensation.”

“This show means the world to me, I absolutely love it,” a beaming Denyer told the crowd.

“If I wasn’t dancing or hosting it, I would be changing the light bulbs in the roof.”

He added: “I vowed 15 years ago to never dance again because it was the best memory of my life, I thought I could never top that, so why would you even bother? I’m so glad I changed my mind and did this.”

It marked Denyer’s second DWTS win, after scoring the top spot alongside dance partner Amanda Garner in the fourth series in 2006.

Denyer and Cornish’s win comes after a difficult few months for the duo, who were the subject of a false report in New Idea magazine which suggested they were having an affair.

The report, published in October, was accompanied with paparazzi images showing Denyer resting his hand on Cornish’s leg with the headline, “Chezzi’s heartbreak”.

Denyer and Chezzi, his wife of 10 years, immediately slammed the article, saying it was merely a “she’ll be right pat on the leg” to comfort Cornish after she’d shared some personal news.

Grant went on to tell the 2Day FM’s The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed & Erin that he felt as though he’d “embarrassed (his) family” despite doing nothing wrong.

“I just feel bad that I’ve put everyone in this position,” he said at the time.

“I’ve given her a tap on the leg letting her know everything’s gonna be OK after we’ve just divulged our lives to each other as we’re having a DWTS meltdown, and now I’ve embarrassed my family in this situation where I’ve not even done anything wrong.”

In December, the tabloid magazine publicly apologised for the “false” front cover story about him, and Denyer revealed he received a “confidential settlement” for the story.
