To say that our farmers are way in over their heads is an understatement.

The third episode of Farmer Wants A Wife has officially aired, and one thing is for sure: things are definitely heating up.

For Farmer Sam, he has gotten himself into a bit of a pickle after giving Mackenzie a not-so-subtle hickey on her neck, and it doesn’t go unnoticed by the other ladies.

While Mackeznie and Demi enjoy some fun on the water, Nickia and Allanah discuss the events of the previous evening.

Nickia tells Allanah, “Mackenzie didn’t get to bed until 2.30 in the morning and then this morning, she saw my mouth fall open, and she’s like ‘What?’

“I said, ‘Is that a hickey on your neck?’ And she’s like, ‘What no, that’s a bruise’.”

Allanah has also noticed just how close Mackenzie and Sam are getting.

“It hurts all of us, not just me,” Allanah says to the camera.

Shortly after, Allanah quizzes Sam over the hickey in front of all the girls. “Can we talk about last night, the big hickey?”

“Is it a rash or a hickey,” asks Sam, clearly nervous.

“You’d know, you put it there,” states Allanah.

Nickia asks, “So you guys hooked up last night?”

Sam decides honesty is the best policy, replying, “Yeah, we did.”

Nickia thanks him for telling the truth but it doesn’t end the questioning from the ladies.

Demi lays into him, saying how Mackenzie was getting all of his attention, and he wasn’t giving any to the other girls.

For Sam, the questioning becomes a little overwhelming, and he decides to get up and just walk away instead.

Mackenzie says to the camera, “It felt like everyone was ganging up on him.”

But if you thought that was the most dramatic part of the episode, think again.

Farmer Andrew finds himself in some hot water after Lucy spills the beans on his alleged frontrunners.

Lucy informs Rachael that a couple of nights ago when she had some wine with Andrew, he revealed to her that both Lucy and Jess were “frontrunners” when he first saw their profiles.

She also revealed that they went in for a hug, “and he sort of leant in just for a peck and I kind of, not wanting to step on anyone’s toes, turned my head”.

She indicated that the kiss landed on her cheek, and it “wasn’t a big deal”.

Rachael is extremely furious, wanting to talk to Andrew immediately.

“I want to talk to Andrew as soon as I can. If it is true that he’s got a pecking order so that there is frontrunners then I want to go home,” she admits.

Lucy later tells the other ladies that Andrew told her that she and Jess were leading the pack.

Jess, unimpressed, says to the camera, “It was a huge thing that she was saying and particularly offensive to Rach, Ash and Caity because they weren’t at the top of the pecking order.”

Rachael soon gets the chance to question Andrew on this alleged pecking order, and he admits that he was keen to meet Lucy and Jess after reading their bios but he was open to meeting them all.

“I shouldn’t have said anything about the profile cause now this, it’s a storm in a teacup and she’s completely misread what the situation was,” he said.

Rachael disagrees.

“I don’t see it as a storm in a cup and that’s actually quite a big deal for me and I’m at the point where I don’t want to be here,” she said.

In a piece to the camera, Andrew admits: “I felt really bad that I’d hurt Rach because she’s such a good chick. Why would you want to hurt Rach?”

As for that apparent near-kiss, the girls are wondering why Lucy would “reject” Andrew’s kiss at all.

“It wasn’t a rejection, it was a near-kiss,” Lucy states.

Jess flat out didn’t believe that she would reject a kiss from Andrew at all.

“She was obsessed with him, I honestly believe if he tried to kiss her she would be all about that,” she said.

Andrew insists to Rachael that he wasn’t trying to kiss Lucy at all, telling her that he “did not try to kiss Lucy.”

Andrew says it was a kiss on the cheek, saying Lucy has misread the whole situation.

Drama.
