Thousands of single women have answered these hunky farmers’ call for love.

Farmer Sam, 24, Farmer Will, 39, Farmer Rob, 40, Farmer Matt, 26, and Farmer Andrew, 30, are all devoted to life on the farm, but now, they’re after their soulmate to share it all with.

Each will choose eight ladies to meet, before inviting just five of them back to their farm in the upcoming series of Farmer Wants A Wife.

This season’s path to love is paved with romance, dreamy dates, luxury country getaways and group trips. Whether it’s first love or a second chance at happiness, these five farmers are ready to open up their hearts.


Farmer Sam, 25, New South Wales

Sam is a sheep and crop farmer and one of seven siblings. Having been raised on the farm, he has now proudly taken over the family business.

He’s on the search for an honest and fun woman, who shares his passion for farming and adventure.

The One Direction loving farmer says he would describe himself as romantic and affectionate. He says the most romantic thing he’s done is drive “several hours to take a girl to a majestic spot”. “But I had forgotten the picnic rug, so unfortunately it didn’t work out,” he added.

Farmer Will, 39, Victoria

Will is a sheep and cattle farmer who grew up on a farm and one day hopes to raise a family there. The extreme-sports loving, down-to-earth farmer loves the company of animals and likes to cook.

Will says he’s looking for an honest and independent woman and says communication and honesty are important to him. He says the most romantic thing he’s ever done fly to “Europe for a girl”.

The 39-year-old says “I’m a firm believer in love. I just haven’t experienced it all that often.”

Farmer Rob, 40, New South Wales

Rob is a sheep and cattle farmer who grew up on a farm before travelling the world. The father-of-two says he’s ready to find love and is looking for a partner who is confident, optimistic and loving.

Farmer Rob enjoys horseriding, dog-training, veggie gardening and watching comedy. He believes that “trust is vitally important in a relationship”.

“Without trust, you’re building a relationship on shoddy foundations,” he says. In five year’s time he’d like to be, “doing what I’m doing now with the love of my life by my side”.

Farmer Matt, 26, Victoria

Matt is a cattle and fodder farmer, born and bred on the family farm and takes pride in being a country boy – he’s honest, loyal, hardworking and respectful.

The Def Leppard fan is looking for a family-orientated woman who likes to laugh and is willing to get stuck in on the farm.

The outdoor loving motor-enthusiast is looking to form a solid partnership with someone he can count on no matter what.

Farmer Matt also says the most romantic thing he’s ever done is “set up a picnic on top of my grandparent’s hill which overlooks our family’s farm”. “Topped it off with a bottle of champagne at sunset,” he added.

Andrew is a sheep farmer who likes a good time, and “plenty of laughs”, wears his “heart on his sleeve”, but isn’t great at talking about feelings.

The electro music fan says the chemistry needs to be there from the beginning for things to progress.

He admits he’s not into big romantic gestures, but thinks it’s the little things that count. Andrew is close to his family and says in five year’s time he sees himself “on the farm, married or engaged with a couple of kids”.

Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.
