Bachelor “love rat” Ciarran Stott has been busted cheating on his girlfriend on national TV, as he issued a grovelling apology.

In a case of history repeating itself, the tattooed personal trainer from Melbourne – who is appearing on the Channel 10 show The Challenge – was seen “fooling around” in the shower with fellow contestant, Love Island’s Audrey Kanongora, on the premiere episode on Monday night.

“Ciarran’s room is next to mine, so I asked if I could shower in his. He got in the shower with me,” Audrey, who also had a partner on the outside, explained in a piece-to-camera.

Stott, who told producers he decided to put a stop to the rendezvous before things progressed, issued a grovelling apology to his girlfriend of almost a year, OnlyFans model Ruby Burciaga.

“I am really sorry for what I’ve done,” Stott said in a piece-to-camera.

“Hopefully you don’t leave me and we stay together.”

Despite the slip-up during the competition reality series, which was filmed in Argentina earlier this year, Stott is still in a relationship with Burciaga.

It’s understood Kanongora is no longer with her partner.

Ciarran admitted to playing up on his girlfriend.

Stott revealed last week he recently made a decision to be sober, after realising the “biggest mistakes” he makes stem from the use of alcohol and drugs.

“So I decided it was finally time to put a stop to it all,” he declared in the caption of a workout video.

“No more drinking! No more drugs! No more of that bulls**t. I turn into the biggest muppet there is and hurt the people closest to me over and over again.”

He went on to say he “probably should have realised” he had a problem “a few years ago” but added: “It’s better late than never.”

The duo have been dating since late 2021.

Stott first rose to recognition on The Bachelorette in 2019, where he vied for Angie Kent’s heart. The heavily tattooed man, with long, bleached blonde hair, stood out from the other competitors and wasn’t afraid to show his sensitive side, choosing to leave the series after the sudden death of his nan.

But then he reappeared on Bachelor In Paradise 10 months later with a very different persona, where he was seen to be pursuing a number of girls at once – Cass Mamone, Abbie Chatfield and Jessica Brody.

Eyebrows were raised even higher when his ex-girlfriend, fellow Bachelor alum Renee Barrett, showed up on the Fijian island and told everyone he’d actually left The Bachelorette – and Angie – in order to be with her.

But the final nail in the coffin for viewers was when a carefree Stott was seen hopping into bed with Barrett while the woman he was courting before her arrival, Brody, was confined to her room suffering a severe case of gastro.

Ultimately he finished the show leaving with intruder Kiki Morris, who revealed after the finale aired that he had dumped and ghosted her soon after filming.

Stott later revealed he regretted going on the show.

“I wish I never went on Bachelor In Paradise. Everything went absolutely sideways for me,” he told the So Dramatic! podcast in December.

“When I was [on Bachelor In Paradise], I had no respect for myself and definitely no respect for anyone on the show.

“I regret everything to do with Paradise. I regret going on the show. If I could push the restart button and go in there again, I wouldn’t have gone in with that attitude.”
