Kyle Sandilands weighs himself live on-air: ‘Oh my god’

The radio shock jock has jumped on a set of scales for the first time since he started losing weight, and was left gobsmacked by the results.

Kyle Sandilands has been left gobsmacked after weighing himself live on-air today.

The 51-year-old KIIS FM host, who revealed on Monday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show he was about 140kg at his “biggest”, was asked by co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson how much weight he’d lost in recent months.

Sandilands claimed he wasn’t making “any effort” to lose weight, and was yet to hop on a set of scales.

But Henderson was eager to get to the bottom of Sandilands’ obvious weight loss, before intern Pete Deppeler swiftly delivered scales to the studio.

“I just do the overall look, I’m not a numbers guy,” Sandilands said, before hopping on the scales. “I can’t see from the gut, what is it?”

Deppeler responded: “121kg.”

Henderson, 48, reacted in shock to the reveal, saying, “Oh my god, you’re 20kg lighter!”

Sandilands was also flabbergasted by the result, “Jesus, without any effort? I didn’t get paid a million dollars from WW and I’ve still done it,” he added, referencing Henderson’s sponsorship deal with the weight loss company.

Henderson has also shed kilos since beginning her health kick with WW five months ago, and has since lost 18kg.

It comes as Sandilands is set to tie the knot to his fiancee Tegan Kynaston on Saturday.

The father-of-one gave listeners an insight into the exorbitant amount of money he was splashing on the nuptials in Sydney.

“The bills [are] all coming in. They’re fine, they’re manageable,” Sandilands said on-air last month.

“There’s many pages of things, and I’m glancing through and I’m going to the end, like, ‘What’s the cost of this thing?’

“It didn’t have a total, there’s still a few things to add, but I did notice the flowers are quite expensive: $150,000 for flowers.”

Both Kyle and Jackie have lost weight recently.

Sandilands said he’s also ordered custom linen napkins for 130 guests, which are embroidered with his own personalised family crest.

The co-hosts speculated the napkins were costing around $10,000 to $15,000.

He added the bill for catering was $100,000, which includes $35,000 on caviar.

“So we’re already up to $250,000 and we’ve only got flowers and food,” Sandilands said.
