Kyle Sandilands a no-show on radio – one day before lavish wedding

Radio presenter Kyle Sandilands didn’t turn up for work this morning, leaving co-host Jackie O and their crew to question his no-show.

Radio presenter Kyle Sandilands was a no-show this morning on the eve of his lavish wedding to fiancée Tegan Kynaston.

His Kyle & Jackie O Show co-host Jackie “O” Henderson revealed on air that Sandilands was rostered to work today but he failed to show up to their Sydney studios. Instead, newsreader Brooklyn Ross played Henderson’s sidekick for the broadcast.

“Brooklyn, Kyle’s decided to take today off,” she laughed at the start of the program.

Ross then wondered if a last-minute bucks night was the reason for the sickie.

“Do you reckon he had a little bucks party last night?” the newsreader asked. “I hope not, because I would have wanted an invite. What if he’s tied to a lamp post somewhere?”

Henderson joked that the groom-to-be may be at a train station and asked viewers “to keep an eye out” as he “won’t be hard to miss”.

On a more serious note, she revealed an impromptu bachelor party was unlikely the case as she knows Sandilands and Kynaston have “so many people in town” for their wedding.

“It’s a huge [week]. Every single person is in town. Every family member,” she said, adding that the couple were probably having a sleep-in after a big night out with their family and friends.

Henderson then expressed her fears for the couple as rain is predicted for their big day tomorrow.

“It’s literally going to rain from 8am to midnight. It doesn’t seem like there’s going to be a window of sun,” she said, sparking executive producer, Pedro Vitola, to wonder if Sandilands’ no-show was because he was busy “setting up extra marquees for the rain”.

Sandilands and Kynaston began dating in late 2019 after his split from model Imogen Anthony, who he dated for eight years. The radio host then proposed to Kynaston – who was his company’s communications director – in Port Douglas in January 2022, and in August that year they welcomed their first child, a baby boy name Otto.
