Days after the news her popular radio show would be coming to an end, Chrissie Swan has revealed a “brand new” career venture for 2023.

Chrissie Swan will host her very own national radio show next year, NOVA Entertainment has announced today.

The new career move comes days after Nova has confirmed its breakfast show line-up featuring Swan, Sam Pang and Jonathan ‘Browny’ Brown would soon come to an end after seven years on air.

That announcement sent shockwaves around the industry, given the trio’s consistent ratings success – and a subsequent report by the Daily Mail claimed both Pang and Brown had been eager to wind up the show.

From January 2023, Swan will host her own national radio show titled The Chrissie Swan Show, airing weekdays from 2pm to 4pm.

“It was a dream come true to be part of Nova’s Melbourne breakfast show and to connect with our listeners,” Swan said in a statement.

“I’ve achieved so much professionally and personally over the past seven years, and I’m thrilled to take on this new opportunity to embrace a new audience right across the country in this brand-new timeslot.”

The solo radio show comes as Swan’s career goes from strength to strength, this year appearing across multiple shows on the Ten Network: As host of Would I Lie To You, a regular on The Project and most recently as one of the new judges on The Masked Singer.

2023 will also mark 20 years since Swan got her big break: Appearing as a contestant on the third season of Big Brother in 2003. Swan came second to Reggie Bird, but parlayed her reality TV stint into a successful media career across TV and radio.

In a statement, NOVA Entertainment CEO Peter Charlton called Swan “a highly respected broadcaster and one of Australia’s most loved personalities.”

“Chrissie has really broad appeal and we can’t wait to share her charismatic broadcasting style with a national audience in this marquee day part,” he said.
