Entourage star Jeremy Piven appeared on Aussie radio yesterday and had a few choice words for Aussie actress Melissa George.

The Hollywood star is best known for his scene-stealing role as Ari Gold in the hit series and was happy to revisit his time on the show while calling into 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin show yesterday.

Co-host Erin Molan said it was refreshing for an actor to be open to discussing a role they played years ago given that some stars aren’t as receptive and prefer to move on.

“Some people play these iconic roles early in their career and then they hate talking about them. Like Melissa George is an example,” she told Piven.

Jeremy Piven calls out Aussie actress Melissa George

“She is an Australian actress who was in Home and Away for years, but refuses to talk about it. You clearly don’t have that attitude. You still love the character and you are happy to talk to fans about Ari, right?”

Piven bluntly replied: “Well Melissa George needs to calm down. I need to go to her home and I need to do a little TED talk to her about gratitude.”

Back in 2012, George became irate when asked about her time on Home And Away during an appearance on Seven’s The Morning Show.

The actress – who played Angel Brooks on the soap from 1993 to 1996 – reportedly threatened to walk off the set after being asked about the show by hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

“She kept saying she’s had so many bigger roles since Home and Away that it was offensive to talk about it — she even said she’d send Seven an invoice because she inadvertently promotes it through the media,” a source revealed to the Daily Telegraph at the time.

Piven, on the other hand, is more than happy to discuss Entourage, a show on which he played a fast-talking Hollywood super-agent from 2004 to 2011. He also reprised the role in 2015 for the movie adaptation of the series.

The role won him three consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

He was also nominated for six Golden Globe awards, finally winning in 2008 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Piven will visit Australia next month for his new live comedy show, taking to the stage at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on April 2 and the State Theatre in Sydney on April 4.
