The actress rose to fame playing Angel Parrish on the Australian soap opera Home and Away, and has since gone on to achieve major success in Hollywood.

She currently shares her children, Raphaël, nine, and Solal, seven, with her ex-partner Jean-David Blanc.

As the star celebrated Christmas with a post on Instagram, she could be seen showing off her bump in a baggy sweater while she cuddled up to her youngest son.

Another picture showed the actress in a sheer white outfit as she flaunted her bump while glancing out of a window.

George has yet to speak publicly about her apparent pregnancy, with the posts so far the only confirmation of the happy news.

The actress, who currently resides in France due to a custody agreement with her ex-partner, is notoriously private and as of yet hasn’t publicly revealed who, if anyone, she is in a relationship with.

George most recently starred opposite Justin Theroux in Apple TV’s The Mosquito Coast, which finished airing its second season in January.

She returned to Australia earlier this year for a brief period when she was spotted holidaying in Perth.

Posting a photo of the beach to her stories, George wrote, “Winter in Perth … no place like home.”

In 2013, George sparked backlash from her home country after she appeared to paint the nation in a negative light.

“I love this city [Sydney] so much. And I want to come home a lot, but the stress that this has created in me is not worthy of my health,” she told Sydney-Herald.

“I think it will be the last time I visit and work here for a while, to be honest, because I just get too upset coming home.

“I don’t need credibility from my country anymore, I just need them all to be quiet. If they have nothing intelligent to say, please don’t speak to me anymore. I’d rather be having a croissant and a little espresso in Paris or walking my french bulldog in New York City.”

The Golden Globe nominee was forced to apologise following severe backlash, assuring fans she was “proud” to be Australian.

“The events of the week have upset me and I want to apologise to any of my fans who were offended about my comments about Australia last weekend,” she said at the time.

“I’m really proud of my Australian roots and I will continue to come home often to see my family and to work here. In fact my favourite croissants in the world are at the Bourke Street Bakery in Surry Hills.”
