Grinning Karl Stefanovic spotted on honeymoon

Karl Stefanovic couldn’t hide his smile (or new facial hair) as he stepped out in Aspen with new wife Jasmine and billionaire mate James Packer.

He may have faced repeated public attacks from his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn, but it looks like it hasn’t ruined the mood on Karl Stefanovic’s honeymoon with Jasmine Yarbrough.

The Today host couldn’t hide his smile (or new facial hair) as he stepped out in the upscale ski resort town of Aspen on Sunday with his new wife and billionaire best mate James Packer.

Grinning from ear to ear, Stefanovic was rugged up in a warm jacket as he left Matsuhisa restaurant after enjoying a meal with Yarbough, Packer and the casino magnate’s girlfriend, Kylie Lim.

Yarbrough and Stefanovic both exited the restaurant solo, while Packer walked out holding hands with Lim, a New York socialite who he has been dating for the past 12 months.

Stefanovic and Yarbrough left Mexico for Aspen last week after tying the knot in a lavish four day celebration.

The newlyweds are staying at Packer’s Aspen resort with the billionaire and a group of friends for a post wedding holiday, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Expected to be one of Stefanovic’s grooms men, Packer pulled out of attending at the last minute, reportedly due to the intense media scrutiny surrounding the wedding.

Back home in Australia Stefanovic has faced repeated attacks from his ex-wife Thorburn, who told New Idea he was a “fake” who had “a lot to hide”.

Stefanovic and Thorburn’s eldest son Jackson also told Daily Mail Australia he and the former couple’s other children hadn’t attended the wedding ceremony.

The 19-year-old said he had gone to the reception with his girlfriend afterwards but “we left because it was s**t”.

Meanwhile speculation about Stefanovic’s future as Today host has continued, with his brother Peter Stefanovic announcing on Tuesday that he was leaving Nine after 15 years.

In a statement Nine said Peter had “decided to explore new opportunities” and both had “mutually decided to part ways”.

Peter’s departure comes after reports in The Daily Telegraph that he was being shown the door after an underwhelming performance as host of Weekend Today this year.
