A major royal is set to release a new podcast – and has promised to “spill the tea”.

Following in Meghan Markle’s podcasting footsteps, Sarah Ferguson has revealed she will be making the show with producers Viral Tribe, reports The Sun.

The Duchess of York will be joined by founder of the UK’s First News, Sarah Jane Thomson, and the pair will chat “about the highs and lows of everyday life”.

The podcast’s description says the pair will “learn about themselves, each other and give their take on some of the biggest and strangest stories from around the world”.

It adds: “No topic is off the table. No biscuit will remain undunked.”

In a post on Twitter, Ferguson wrote: “It’s about time we spilled the tea … our brand new podcast Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah is out next week.”

It comes after the Duchess was not invited to the King’s coronation.

Despite knowing Charles since childhood, the Ferguson, 63, was not among the 2000 guests invited to the Westminster Abbey ceremony. However she did attend the coronation concert.

Ferguson is not the first royal to host a podcast.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed their rumoured $34 million Spotify deal in late 2020.

Last year, Meghan released 10 episodes of Archetypes where she spoke to celebrity friends about the stereotypes that women face.

Meanwhile, Mike Tindall regularly dishes out royal gossip on his podcast The Good, the Bad and the Rugby.

Prince William also recently chatted on the Climate of Change podcast from Audible, hosted by Aussie actress Cate Blanchett.

It is not yet known what the Duchess of York will discuss on her new podcast.

It comes as her ex-husband Prince Andrew is refusing to vacate his 30-room mansion in a fresh battle with his brother, the King.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Charles was slashing the $467,000 subsidy Andrew received from the late Queen Elizabeth.

It meant the Duke of York, 63, would struggle to afford the running costs of the Royal Lodge at Windsor where he currently lives.

However, friends of Andrew say he is determined to stay put.
