A TV star who claims she once had a two-month fling with Prince Harry says she no longer recognises the royal she once knew following the release of his Netflix docuseries.

During an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, available to stream on Flash, Catherine Ommanney said the Duke of Sussex, 38, seemed like a “different person”.

“I just don’t know if I actually even recognise him anymore, personality-wise,” the Real Housewives of DC star told the Sky News Australia host.

“When I watched him in the show, I thought it’s almost like, and my mother would really hate me for saying this, but it’s almost like she’s [Meghan Markle] got a spell over him.

“And that’s why I don’t recognise him. He used to be so down to earth and normal and there’s so little of him I actually recognise.”

The British reality TV star also spoke about her brief romance with Harry and how he “desperately wanted privacy”.

“He was really funny, a total gentleman, totally down to earth, normal,” she said.

“What I saw of him at the time, he was desperately searching for freedom and privacy.

“And yet what he has done is completely turn the whole situation full circle, so now he has got no privacy and no freedom.”

The interior designer said she was a 34-year-old mother of two when she met Harry, who was just 21 at the time.

The pair met at Art Bar in London’s Chelsea in 2006 and claims they went on a number of dates.

Despite the 13-year age gap, Catherine had the “time of my life” with the prince — who gave her the “most passionate kiss I’ve ever had”.

The divorcee, now 50, said they acted like teenagers and kissed passionately during dates, and even posed for a photo in a bathtub together. She claimed Harry dreamt of living an ordinary life.

The romance was dealt a blow when news of the relationship broke.

After two more dates, Harry changed his number and Catherine did not see him again until 2009, when they bumped into each other at a polo match in Barbados.

Catherine lifted the lid after learning that Harry was writing about his ex-girlfriends in his new memoir, Spare.

“I doubt I will be in Harry’s book as a prince can’t run off with a 34-year-old mother-of-two, it’s just not the done thing,” she told The Sun.

Harry & Meghan is a six-part Netflix series directed by Oscar-nominee Liz Garbus. It is the flagship offering in the couple’s rumoured $183 million multi-year content deal with the streaming giant.

In the first three episodes of the series, Meghan made a subtle dig at William and his wife, Kate Middleton, as she described meeting them for the first time.

In episode one, Harry appeared to reference his sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, while discussing how his relationship with Meghan differs from what the Royal Family have come to expect.

The Duke also took a hurtful dig at his father, King Charles, by claiming he was “brought up” by friends in Africa, not by his dad, following his mother Princess Diana’s death.

“I’ve got a second family out there. A group of friends that literally brought me up,” he said.

The next and final three episodes of Harry & Meghan will drop on Thursday.
