Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be invited to King Charles III’s Coronation amid the fallout from their bombshell Netflix documentary.

The Daily Mail reported Charles has extended an olive branch to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcoming them to attend the event on May 6.

According to the outlet, the monarch’s view of his son and daughter-in-law have not changed despite recent claims the couple made against the Royal Family.

Sources told the publicationthe King will always keep a door open for Harry and that he will not want his coronation to be side-tracked by the family drama.

“Harry is his son and His Majesty will always love him. While things are difficult at the moment, the door will always be left ajar,” an insider said.

Another source said it is unlikely that the Sussexes’ will be left out of the event even if Harry makes further accusations in his memoir Spare which is released next month.

The tell-all book is expected to make further claims about Harry’s childhood and treatment by the firm.

A source said it would be “utterly hypocritical” for the Sussexes to attend the coronation considering the claims they have made against the Royal family in recent months.

“It would be utterly hypocritical but then again not entirely unsurprising if they did, let’s just say,” the source said.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment, saying the guest list for the Coronation hadn’t yet been compiled.

In the final episodes of Harry & Meghan, the Duke accused Charles of lying during crisis Megxit talks as the late Queen Elizabeth II sat there and listened.

Harry also alleged his brother William “screamed and shouted” at him at the Sandringham Summit after he revealed they wanted to quit the Firm.

“It was very terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that just simply weren’t true – and my grandmother, quietly sit there and sort of take it all in,” he said.

The Prince hinted that the late Queen was heavily reliant on the advice of those around her.

“People around her are telling her, ‘By the way, that proposal, or these two doing X, Y, Z, is going to be seen as an attack on the institution’ – then she’s going to go on the advice that she’s given.”

Harry even said a joint statement was put out without his permission in his and his brother’s name on the same day denying a story that William had bullied him out of the royal family.

The royal branded the move a “lie to protect my brother” and added: “There was no other option at this point. I said ‘We need to get out of here’.”

Harry claimed senior royals were jealous of Meghan’s popularity and were determined to “tear her down”.

He accused the firm of planting negative stories about the former Suits actress in the press.

The Duke said it was expected that someone ‘marrying in’ to the Royal Family should play a supporting role. He used his late mother Princess Diana as an example.

“My mum felt the same way,” he said. “It was almost like from the wedding and everything I saw that they were building her up.

“And then there was a shift and they started to tear her down. I’m sorry. At the time, and we laughed about because it’s so ridiculous.

“But an attack can be preposterous, but it’s still an attack and that drip feed of constant attack on someone who is an individual or real person has an impact.”

The Palace declined to comment on the allegations.
