Kate playfully corrects William in new royal video

“Be careful what you say.” William and Kate show off their silly side as they release unseen footage on their new YouTube channel.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are giving us a sneak peek, behind-the-scenes look at royal life – and yes, that includes the bloopers.

In a new video released on their social media, the royal couple announced they’re now branching out into the realms of YouTube.

As well as showing off the ‘best bits’ reel of Kate and William’s royal visits and walkabouts including Kate sheep shearing and William flying a helicopter, it also includes some never-before-seen clips.

One clip, towards the very end of the video, shows Kate and William filming their well wishes for this year’s St Patrick’s Day greeting, where William attempted to speak Gaelic. Kate can be seen pulling a face and correcting his pronunciation: “You don’t need to roll your Rs.”

William asks, “Do I not need to roll those?” Kate shakes her head and firmly replies, “No.”

Kate can be heard correcting her husband in a behind-the-scenes video of their St Patrick’s Day address.

The other un-seen clip can be found at the start of the video. It shows the Duke and Duchess at home, having a laugh behind the scenes.

William warns Kate: “By the way, be careful what you say now because these guys, they’re filming everything!”

“I know,” Kate responds with a laugh and a grin.

Royal couple join YouTube

The royal couple shared the YouTube video to their Instagram account alongside the caption, “Better late than never – we’re now on YouTube.”

William and Kate recently changed their Instagram handle from ‘KensingtonRoyal’ to ‘DukeandDuchessofCambridge’.

The couple also shared a note that Kate’s photography book Hold Still: A Portrait Of Our Nation In 2020 will be available to buy from this Friday. The book features images of the UK during last year’s national lockdown and a foreword by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s recently announced children’s bookThe Bench is set to be released a month later on June 8. The idea for the story began as a poem Meghan wrote for Harry on Father’s Day.

It will explore the father-son bond seen through the eyes of a mother. Meghan will also narrate the audiobook version of the story.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie celebrates his 2nd birthday today. Royal commentators have claimed that despite recent friction in the family after the bombshell Oprah interview, they will put aside their differences and the birthday boy “will have a Zoom date with Queen and his cousins”.
