Kanye West has claimed he is not bipolar, but might be “slightly autistic”.

Speaking with US gossip celebrity gossip outlet X17, the rapper, who has legally changed his name to Ye, compared himself to Dustin Hoffman’s character in Rain Main.

“For me, I believe that in no way I am bipolar, I am not in some kind of episode, but I may be slightly autistic-like Rain Man, and that’s part of my superpower!” the Gold Digger singer said.

“That’s the reason why I can produce tracks and design and do so many things but what I can’t do…there are two things that I can’t do: I can’t accept hate and I can’t hate,” he continued after a long pause. “Have you ever known an autistic person that hates?”

“That’s the reason…if someone says: ‘Love this, love this, love this person. Don’t love this person,’ I don’t know how to do that.”

Ye’s comments come after a string of controversies surrounding the musician.

Earlier this month, the Donda star was banned from Twitter following a disagreement with owner Elon Musk.

It came after the superstar rapper praised Adolf Hitler and unleashed an anti-Semitic diatribe while wearing a black hood that covered his face and head during a bizarre appearance with InfoWars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

“I see good things about Hitler, also,” Ye told Jones.

“Every human being has value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler. I was thinking about Satan. Whether it’s the Zionists or Hitler — it’s not the person. It’s Satan using the people, who are controlled by demonic forces.”

Ye elaborated, telling Jones, “The Jewish media has made us feel like the Nazis and Hitler have never offered anything of value to the world. Meanwhile, there’s all of these things that are happening.”

In November, the disgraced hip-hop star stormed off the set of an interview with US podcaster Tim Pool after the host pushed back against his anti-Semitic statements.

“To come in here — I feel like it’s a set-up to be like defending … I’m literally going to walk the F off the show, if I’m sitting up here having to, you know, talk about, ‘You can’t say it was Jewish people that did it,’” West said moments before taking off his headset and stomping out of the studio, where he was in the middle of a live interview on the Timcast IRL podcast.

Back in October, Ye made headlines for his racist and anti-Semitic statements.

During an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, the hip-hop artist refused to apologise for his anti-Semitic rant but did admit that he was only “sorry for the people I hurt,” while trying to justify his actions as “fighting fire with fire”.

“I will say I’m sorry for the people I hurt with the ‘death con,’ with the confusion,” he said.

“I feel like I caused hurt and confusion and I am sorry for the families of the people who had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through.

“And that I used my platform where you say, I hurt people, and I was hurt.”

The father-of-four’s global outrage has cost him several lucrative fashion collaborations.

Adidas announced that it was cutting ties with Ye over his “harmful” and ”dangerous” comments.

The German sportswear giant joined companies like Gap and Balenciaga in ending their partnership with the musician.

Ye was “escorted” from Skechers’ corporate office in Los Angeles after he showed up unannounced and uninvited, according to the shoe company.

In a statement, the footwear brand said the Bound 2 singer engaged in “unauthorised filming” and was ushered out of the building by two executives after a “brief conversation”.
