Kanye West explodes in late night Twitter rant, says he’ll go to ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’ amid anti-Semitism accusations

Kanye West’s latest strange pronouncement online has been taken down as swirling accusations of anti-Semitism gather steam.

Twitter has removed a post from rapper Kanye West for violating its rules after he went on a late-night rant.

West, who has legally changed his name to Ye, had targeted Jewish people in his tweet, which was up for around an hour and attracted tens of thousands of engagements before being removed.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” West wrote. He likely meant DEFCON 3, an allusion to the US military’s alert system.

“The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also,” he continued.

“You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Now, with the tweet taken down, loading up its original URL yields a page that says: “This tweet violated the Twitter rules.”

West only returned to Twitter on Friday, local time, after nearly two years away from the social media platform. His return came after his Instagram account was restricted.

A tweet from Kanye West has been removed.

He has since posted two more tweets including one about cancel culture.

West earlier called out Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, saying “How you gone kick me off Instagram”.

However, he was warmly welcomed back to Twitter by Elon Musk, who confirmed his renewed plans to buy the platform.

“Welcome back to Twitter, my friend,” Musk said in reply to West’s tweet about Zuckerberg.

Meanwhile, a Meta spokesperson told CNN that content from West’s Instagram account was deleted for violating the company’s policies and a restriction was placed on his account.

It came after West shared an Instagram post, which has since been deleted, which showed a screenshot of a text message conversation with Sean “Diddy” Coombs that was criticised as “anti-Jewish” by the American Jewish Committee.

Earlier this week, West stirred controversy by wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt.
